Turkey, Beef & Chicken Cat Food Raw Recipe

Poultry is an ideal choice for cats, rich in protein and taurine, with turkey adding high levels of the mood boosting amino acid tryptophan.

Pumpkin provides both soluble and insoluble fibre for digestive health, which is bolstered by the mucilage of ground flaxseeds and psyllium husks.

Wheatgrass powder is a nutritional powerhouse, adding good amounts of wound healing vitamin E and zinc.

INGREDIENTS

  • 420gm turkey breast, diced (or mince)
  • 200gm turkey necks
  • 200gm chicken hearts
  • 86gm beef liver, diced
  • 75gm pumpkin, cubed
  • 2gm eggshell/calcium
  • 5gm hempseeds
  • 5gm flaxseeds, ground
  • 5gm psyllium husks or powder
  • 1gm cinnamon
  • 0.5gm wheat grass powder • 0.5gm kelp powder

METHOD

1. Steam the pumpkin until tender and mash.
2. Trim the turkey necks as required (chicken necks may be used if turkey are not available).
3. Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl, setting the necks aside.
4. Mix to fully combine and portion into serves.
5. Add a piece of neck to some of the serves and feed on
