Raw Pork & Turkey Neck Home Made Recipe

Turkey necks in this recipe offer excellent teeth cleaning abilities, as well as the mental health benefits both chewing and the high levels of tryptophan provide.

Oysters are one of the richest sources of zinc on the planet, while ginger, blueberries and kale are all brimming with antioxidants.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 300gm pork mince, lean

  • 250gm turkey neck, cut to an appropriate size

  • 150gm lamb heart, chopped

  • 50gm salmon, tinned

  • 70gm oysters, tinned

  • 100gm zucchini, grated or diced

  • 30gm red capsicum, diced

  • 25gm kale, diced

  • 20gm blueberries (frozen is fine)

  • 3gm wheat germ oil

  • 1.5gm ginger, ground

  • 0.5gm kelp powder

 Method

  1. Sautee the zucchini, capsicum and kale until soft

  2. Drain the salmon and oysters and place in a large bowl

  3. Add the other ingredients, setting the turkey necks aside

  4. Mix to fully combine and portion into serves

  5. Add a piece of turkey neck to some of the serves and feed

    on alternate days

NOTE

If you have a large dog, you may feed a whole turkey neck as a meal. For smaller dogs, cut the necks down with a meat cleaver and feed as a meal or with some of the meat and veggie mix.
