Raw food diet for dogs recipe - beef, chicken and lamb

This raw food diet for dogs recipe uses chicken gizzards, which are a fantastic and inexpensive choice of muscle meat, offering more copper, zinc, manganese, vitamin B12 and iron than chicken breast.

Pumpkin seeds are rich in vitamin E and manganese, cod liver oil provides vitamin D and omega 3 fatty acids, while nutritional yeast adds a boost of B vitamins.

INGREDIENTS

• 200gm lean beef mince
• 250gm chicken wings
• 200gm chicken gizzards
• 80gm lamb liver, diced
• 50gm oysters, tinned
• 50gm egg
• 100gm pumpkin, cubed
• 50gm raspberries, frozen
• 15gm pumpkin seeds, ground
• 1gm cod liver oil
• 3gm nutritional yeast
• 1gm kelp powder

METHOD

• Steam the pumpkin until tender
• Grind the pumpkin seeds in a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle

• Add pumpkin, raspberries, seeds, oils and powders to a bowl and mix until well combined

• Portion meat, vegetable mix and wings into daily serves and freeze or store in the fridge for a few days

SERVES 6-8 OR 3-4 DAYS OF FOOD FOR A 10KG DOG
