Raw dog food recipe to boost your dogs metabolism

And our Healthy Active Pet pet nutritionist has created lots of raw dog food recipes for us all to use to help our pets be in their best health possible and here is one of the raw dog food recipes which our dogs LOVE!!


And this raw dog food recipe is formulated to be rich in high quality animal protein to rapidly activate your pet’s metabolism and burn more calories while they digest and rest.

It naturally contains lots of water to further pump up their metabolism and is very low in sluggish carbs.

Raw dog food recipe to boost your dog's metabolism

  • Chicken breast, diced 250g
  • Chicken gizzards, halved 250g
  • Chicken liver, diced 100g
  • Sardines, chopped (tinned if cooking) 150g
  • Pumpkin, cubed 100g
  • Sweet potato, cubed 50g
  • Zucchini, diced 50g
  • Strawberries, hulled (frozen is fine) 40g
  • Eggshell/calcium 5g
  • Flaxseed oil 4g
  • Wheatgrass powder 0.5g
  • Kelp powder 0.5g

Method
1. Steam the pumpkin, sweet potato and zucchini until tender
2. Defrost and dice the strawberries
3. Combine vegetables in a bowl and mash with a potato masher or fork until combined
4. If cooking the chicken and egg (for the egg shell), boil with a little water until just cooked (or use raw meat)
5. Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine
6. Portion and freeze or store in the fridge for a few days
