
Spaghetti & Meatballs Home Made Dog Food Recipe
Beef liver and cinnamon complement kangaroo in this recipe, offering a metabolism booting and nutrient rich combo.
Lean vegetables add a low calorie source of antioxidants, while chia and flax seeds offer fibre and help your dog stay full for longer.
INGREDIENTS
• 600gm kangaroo mince
• 60gm beef liver, finely diced • 100gm eggs, beated
• 70gm zucchini
• 70gm carrot
• 60gm tomatoes, diced
• 5gm parsley, chopped
• 10gm sunflower oil
• 9gm flaxseeds, ground
• 9gm chia seeds
• 6gm eggshell/calcium
• 1gm cinnamon
• 0.5gm kelp powder
METHOD

Using a julienne peeler or spiraliser, make noodles out of the zucchini and carrots

If you don’t have a julienne peeler or spiraliser you can grate the vegetables and sautee, or simply add them to the meat mixture

Grind the flax seeds in a coffee grinder and place in a small bowl with the chia seeds

Stir 1/4 cup of water into the seeds and allow to thicken (add more if required to make a paste)

Place everything except the tomato, carrot and zucchini noodles in a bowl and mix thoroughly to combine

Using your hands, form meatballs with the mixture

Sautee the noodles with the diced tomato and set aside

Pan or airfry the meatballs if cooking

Serve the raw or cooked meatballs with some of the vegetable mixture
