Meet Ricky the French Bulldog and see the dog food he eats

At Healthy Active Pet we are big fans of sharing stories from dogs in our community.

And today we are meeting Ricky the French Bulldog who is a retired show dog and who has recently started using Healthy Active Pet freeze dried dog food and raw feeding dog food recipes.

Meet Ricky the French Bulldog

Ricky is short for Riccardo. He is a retired french bulldog from dog showing, coming just spy off of champion.

Ricky identifies as a human baby. :)

He loves being in company and spending all day just chilling, whether that's watching the TV or laying out in the sun.He isn't very active and need the very best diet of food to remain healthy.

We go on walks this one his favorite activities, but poor Ricky can only manage a few blocks before he is more than happy to go home to rest.

He loves sleeping with me and takes my husband space on our bed.Ricky is very spoilt and loves his dog toy teddies.

He loves to stockpile them away from my other dog.Ricky just loves love, he loves cuddles and kisses.

Ricky's health

French bulldog can get many allergies.

Ricky can get skin rashes due to certain foods such as chicken, which is very itchy for him.

He also will lick his paws a lot, this is rather annoying to hear and gives me the ICK.

He has also had a few lumps on his face which had to be removed (this is while he was retired from dog shows) I do not wish for this to return any worse.

I would love for this lump and his skin to improve.

Ricky has started to use a combination of Healthy Active Pet freeze dried dog food and their raw feeding dog food recipes.

He absolutely LOVES the freeze dried food!

Raw feeding for Ricky improves his coat tenfold. Making his coat look nice and shiny. I also find that a raw feeding diet helps to reduces his itching. I find raw egg is great for a shiny coat.
